The Delegation of Hanoi University of Industry Visited Ton Duc Thang University

On December 21, 2023, the delegation of lecturers and officials of Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI) led by Dr. Nguyen Van Thien, Vice-Rector as Head of the delegation, along with leaders of its departments, centers, and the Library visited and worked with Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU).

Working with the delegation on behalf of TDTU were Dr. Vo Hoang Duy, Vice President of TDTU, and leaders of a number of departments and the Library of the University.

The delegation visited facilities serving training, research, physical education, national defense and security, the Library, and the Vietnam - Finland International School. They also had a meeting with the Presidential Board and some units under TDTU.

After hearing the presentation from Dr. Vo Hoang Duy, Vice President of TDTU, regarding an overview of the development process, vision, orientation, and solutions to develop the TDTU’s activities in the past and the goals in the coming time, Dr. Nguyen Van Thien, Vice-Rector of HaUI, expressed the delegation’s impression of the vision, determination, and efforts of the TDTU leadership team, lecturers, and staff. Especially, the delegation highly appreciated the modern and spacious facilities of TDTU, results and achievements of the University’s internationalization activities, scientific and technological activities, and the digital library model.

The Center of Communication and Public Relations, the Library and Information Center, the Department of Science and Technology, the Human Resources Training and Supply Company of HaUI, the Communications and Public Relations Department, and the Department for Management of Science and Technology Development of TDTU have exchanged, shared and introduced communication activities, library professional activities, scientific and technological activities, and experience in organizing international conferences as well as attracting international articles at TDTU and HaUI.

HaUI belongs to the Ministry of Industry and Trade and has a long history of 125 years of establishment and development. It was formerly made up of two institutions, which include Hanoi Technical School (established in 1898) and Hai Phong Vocational College (established in 1913). It has undergone many mergers, name changes, and upgrades from Industry School I to Hanoi College of Industry and Hanoi University of Industry.
