Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha attended the closing ceremony of the 2nd Vietnam Student Football Tournament 2024 at Ton Duc Thang University

On the afternoon of March 31, 2024, at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) stadium, the Closing Ceremony and the final match of the 2^nd Vietnam Student Football Tournament 2024 - THACO Cup took place.

There were several honored guests including Mr. Tran Hong Ha, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister; Mr. Phan Van Mai, Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Mr. Vu Hai Quan, Member of the Party Central Committee, President of Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Bui Quang Huy, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, First Secretary of the Central Youth Union; Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc, Deputy Minister of Education and Training; Mr. Hoang Dao Cuong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Mr. Tran Ba ​​Duong, Chairman of Truong Hai Group (THACO), main sponsor; Mr. Dang Ha Viet, Director of the Department of Physical Training and Sports; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Vu, Vice President of Vietnam Football Federation (VFF); Mr. Duong Nghiep Khoi, General Secretary of VFF; Mr. Tran Trong Dao, President of Ton Duc Thang University participating in the closing ceremony, final match and awarding ceremony. On the side of the organizing committee, there was the participation of the journalist Nguyen Ngoc Toan, Editor-in-Chief of Thanh Nien Newspaper, Head of the Organizing Committee. There was also the presence of representatives of leaders of departments and agencies of the Central Government, Ho Chi Minh City and localities hosting the qualifying round.

The Vietnam Student Football Tournament was assigned by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to Thanh Nien Newspaper in coordination with The Central Committee of Vietnam Student Association and the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF); Ton Duc Thang University is the host of the Final Round.

After 3 months of competition, from the qualifying round of 6 regions across the country to the final round in Ho Chi Minh City, the 2nd Vietnam Student Football Championship in 2024 - THACO Cup had named Ho Chi Minh City University of Physical Education and Sports.

With solidarity, effort and good technique, the TDTU football team excellently won 3^rd place in the tournament. The player Thanh Phuong of TDTU football team was included in the list of outstanding squad. In addition, the Organizing Committee awarded the "Promising Media Award" and "Fair Play Cheerleading Award" to TDTU, recognizing the enthusiastic and civilized cheering that created beautiful images in the stands.

TDTU is a public university with experience in organizing many large-scale sporting events. With international standard sports facilities being synchronously invested, especially with a FIFA standard football field with a capacity of more than 7,000 seats, TDTU co-organized the Vietnam Student Football Tournament - The 2^nd THACO Cup 2024 contributing to promoting the school sports training movement, inspiring and spreading the love of football in the student community and creating opportunities to find young talents to train to become professional athletes in the future.
