Ton Duc Thang University Organized TDTU Open Day 2024

On March 30, 2024, TDTU Open Day 2024 was held at the main campus of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), attracting approximately 3,000 high school students across Ho Chi Minh City and southern provinces to attend.

At the event, the University had the honor of welcoming Comrade Dang Thuy Khanh Van - Member of the Executive Committee, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Party Committee of Ho Chi Minh City University and College; Boards of Directors and over 180 teachers from high schools in Ho Chi Minh City and the Southern region. From TDTU, there were Dr. Tran Trong Dao – Chairman of the Science and Training Council, and President; Dr. Vo Hoang Duy - Vice President; Dr. Dong Si Thien Chau - Vice President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Thi Minh Ly - Vice Chairwoman of the University Council; Ms. Dang Thi Kim Anh - Head of the Department of Student Affairs, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Open Day along with leaders, lecturers, and staff from the whole university attending the event.

During the Open Day, students had the opportunity to explore and understand the internationally standardized educational environment and modern facilities of TDTU; participate in hands-on activities at the University as real students; engage in direct exchanges and consultations with lecturers, senior students of TDTU on topics related to majors, effective study methods at the university level. Additionally, students also received detailed explanations and advice on study programs, admission methods, and other related information such as tuition fees, scholarships, talent search examinations, etc.

The Open Day program is organized into 2 areas: The advisory area was centrally located at the military sports ground and along the internal canal bank; The experiential area was directly organized in laboratories, practice rooms, and simulation rooms at the Faculties, where TDTU students were studying and conducting research.

In particular, the Lucky Draw program at TDTU OPEN DAY 2024 is an activity to acknowledge the experience and career orientation of students during the event. The program awarded the first prize, which is an Apple iPad Gen 9, to Phan Thi Thanh Nhu - a student from Marie Curie High School (Ho Chi Minh City), and two Samsung Galaxy smartwatches to Trinh Hao Nam - a student from Binh Long Town High School (Binh Phuoc) and Hoang Thi Thuy Giang - a student from Phuoc Kien High School (Ho Chi Minh City). Lucky students also received versatile backpacks and TDTU teddy bears. In case the winners were not present at the time of the prize announcement, the organizers will verify the information and deliver the prizes to their homes via postal service.

In 2024, TDTU plans to enroll 6,500 undergraduate slots across 40 majors under the Standard Program, 19 majors under the High-Quality Program, 12 majors under the Undergraduate Programs in English, 13 majors under the Joint Programs with International Universities, and 9 majors at Khanh Hoa Branch.

Ton Duc Thang University is a multidisciplinary public university, with modern facilities and an internationally recognized learning environment. The university has been accredited and recognized by leading international organizations such as HCÉRES and FIBAA. Besides institutional accreditation, TDTU has successfully undergone accreditation for 35 undergraduate and postgraduate programs by international accreditation organizations including AUN-QA, FIBAA, and ASIIN. Notably, in 2023, TDTU was the only Vietnamese higher education institution to be ranked among the Top 100 universities in Asia according to THE Asia University Rankings.
